The Optime Studio offers telehealth services to patients located in the State of Florida. This notice explains how telehealth works, its benefits and limitations, and how we protect your information.
Telehealth is the use of secure electronic communications — such as live video — to deliver health care remotely, without an in-person visit. We offer telehealth visits across Florida, with in-person visits available at our Jupiter studio for those who prefer them.
Consistent with licensure requirements, telehealth services are available only to patients who are physically located in the State of Florida at the time of their visit.
Telehealth may not be appropriate for every situation. Some conditions require an in-person evaluation, physical examination, or testing. If your needs require in-person care, we will let you know. As with any technology, there is a small possibility of technical issues or interruptions. Telehealth is never a substitute for emergency care — if you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.
We use secure, appropriate technology designed to protect your information during telehealth visits, consistent with our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable law.
Your informed consent to receive telehealth services is obtained as part of your intake process before your visit. You may withdraw your consent to telehealth at any time and request an in-person visit instead, without affecting your right to future care.
