Good Faith Estimate

Last updated: June 11, 2026

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including items such as consultations, tests, and other services.

What This Means for You

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your service. You can also ask for one before you schedule.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

How to Request One

We’re glad to provide a written Good Faith Estimate on request. Contact us at 561-944-8180 or [email protected], and we’ll prepare an estimate of expected charges for the services you’re considering.
